Binibining Pilipinas Press Conference 2013

It’s really an honor to once again be invited to attend a Press Conference for Binibining Pilipinas along side with print journalists, magazine and newspaper photographers, and celebrity reporters. It was really a big deal being surrounded by “Big People” in this line of the industry. So need to act as if I’m one of them.. Hahaha.. 

This is a actually a late post due to my unreliable internet connection. I had a hard time uploading photos. It took me 2 days to upload all of this. Hope it’s worth the wait! :D

Binibining Pilipinas Gold presented its newly proclaimed winners at the Gateway Cineplex more than a week after a magnificent coronation night staged at the Smart Araneta Coliseum which was made even more meaningful with the special appearance of almost 70 former Binibining Pilipinas beauty queens.

The winners have been busy in several television guest appearances and are about to indulge in a rigorous training program that will include personality development, beauty sessions, and the like to be conducted by seasoned beauty and television experts. Being the newest celebrities of the country, the new queens’ schedules are also replete with sponsors visits and tourism activities that usually abound during the summer.

On May 18, the Golden Batch as they are called will be the main stars in the traditional Araneta Center Grand Santacruzan that will traverse the roads of the shopping complex.  Other past contestants and queens are expected to grace this glittering event. The ladies will be wearing gowns done by leading Filipino and international designers.

Questions were asked to these gorgeous ladies and they answered it all gracefully. They were even asked to comment regarding the issue concerning Janine Tugonon but they chose not to put gas to a burning fire.

My favorite winner is Ms. Supranational 2013, Mutya Johanna Datul! She easily caught my attention with that charming smile and she answers each question wittily and fun! I think I have a crush on her. Bwahahaha! Forget that I said that! :))

Binibining Pilipinas GOLD Fashion Show

Yesterday I was asked to cover the Binibining Pilipinas Fashion Show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. I immediately grabbed the opportunity to feature here in my blog the biggest beauty pageant in the Philippines which is in its 50th year.

I was advised by the organizer not to bring my DSLR camera since it’s not allowed inside the Big Dome and only use a point and shoot camera, so I did follow. (I’m no rule breaker.. Hahahaha!!) But poof.. When I arrived inside, I see DSLRs everywhere. So as much as everybody’s enjoying shooting with their DSLRs I’m enjoying too with a bit of challenge using my phone camera. Enough with my side track personal story. :))

Clad in “heritage” gowns by acclaimed fashion guru Pitoy Moreno and casuals from JAG, the fifty aspirants of the much-coveted 2013 Binibining Pilipinas titles and current queens Miss Universe 2012 1st runner up Janine Tugonon, Binibining Pilipinas- International 2012 Nicole Schmitz, Binibining Pilipinas- Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan, and Miss Supernational 2012 3rd runner up Elaine Kay Moll recently sashayed down the fashion ramp of the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It was a fitting tribute to Philippines’ fashion czar and esteemed Bibibining Pilipinas executive board member.

Directed by Raymond Villanueva, the show featured choice outfits that ranged from elegant gowns to fun and sexy formals. The fifty candidates were clustered to parade different fashion concepts, mirrored through the Moreno collection and accompanying music. JAG provided casuals that were spiced up by accessories from the Binibini collection.

The Fashion Show is the last of many activities that the fifty candidates engaged in the past months. The ladies also participated in a slew of charitable events including an Operation Smile mission conducted in the Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila. After this, the candidtaes are going to be busy with rehearsals en route to the Grand Coronation Night to be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. This will be aired live on ABS-CBN.

The Grand Coronation Night will be hosted by seasoned artist Martin Nievera and Dawn Zulueta together with Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup. Tickets are available through Ticketnet Online www.ticketnet.com.ph or inquire at 911-5555.

JUST FOR FUN: The entire time I was bothered on why all the Pageant winners of last year have crowns except for Bb. Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up 2012. And I found a way to give the lovely lady her own personal crown. Hahaha. 

So again don’t forget to watch Bb. Pilipinas GOLD this Sunday. :D CHEERS! :D

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 (IDEAL VISION)

The photos has been in my camera for the longest time now. Again, I do apologize for the super late post. PEACE! :D

I only attended two shows during the Philippine Fashion Week and Ideal Vision is one of the two. 

 

Glad that I attended this one. The clothes are really really amazing. Love the sweet colors that the designers chose. Very soft and candy like textures and the detailing of each look is superb!
