Annoying Meatball!
Fresh graduate, no allowance, bum, just passed the board exams, unemployed. These are just some of the words that describes my present life. Words that make me think that money is really essential for people who is experiencing the same fate as I am. Such a dramatic intro… :)) Why am I having a drama here? This is quite a funny story which happened earlier today.
I asked my friend Lora to keep me company while I complete my requirements for my oath taking and registration tomorrow. FACT: I can’t roam around the mall all by myself. I always feel uneasy without any companion. Then I told her that we should eat first since both of us were already hungry. We decided to have our late lunch at SBARRO (A pizza pasta food chain). When we went inside Sbarro I searched for the word LASAGNA on the menu since it is one of my favorite food. So I then ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce then the lady waitress confirmed my order and she added “Sir meatball or chicken fillet?”. So I answered “Meatball”. Then she asked me again “Sir garlic bread or supreme pinwheel?”. I answered pinwheel. When I was about to pay, the cashier told me that my bill costs 331 pesos. I was shocked because I thought the meal only costs around 200 pesos; Not knowing that the meatballs and the pinwheel were add-ons which costs 40 pesos each. Could you believe it? She didn’t even asked me how many meatballs I want for my meal. She placed two tiny meatballs which COSTS 40 pesos each! HOW ANNOYING!
I was planning on buying a cheeseburger in Mc donald’s after eating there but because I paid 120 pesos of hidden charges (deceitful act of the waitress), my budget for the cheeseburger evaporated right before my eyes. Just to compensate for the lost money, I ended up walking instead of riding a tricycle. :))
Here’s a photo of that Annoying MEATBALL!
