MAD FOR MOD: BANANA REPUBLIC’S “MAD MEN” COLLECTION
This is actually a late post. I’m really really sorry!!! :D Something happened with my laptop which is a long long long story if I relay it in full detail. Let’s just move on to Banana Republic’s Mad Men Collection.
Designed by Banana Republic in collaboration with Emmy® Award-winning Costume Designer for “Mad Men,” Janie Bryant, the collection takes its inspiration from costumes featured in the show, reflecting the mod vibe of the late ‘60s. The capsule moves away from the Camelot era’s early ‘60s look and into the late ‘60s mod fashions. Spring’s collection incorporates fresh bold prints, bright colors and new silhouettes, all demonstrated through the versatile and instantly wearable Banana Republic lens.
I personally love the slick and bold colors of their menswear collection. Very sophisticated and classic looking. The collection is also full of stripes and plaid with cutting-edge details which I really like because of it’s laid back vibe.
The Banana Republic design team, led by Kneen, worked closely with Bryant to ensure the capsule reflected key style elements from the series. Behind the scenes, Bryant kicked off the design process by sharing her favorite costumes.

Uniqlo’s U Shop, U Win Virtual Game
UNIQLO, a leading global Japanese brand is here once again to spread good vibes through their newest facebook game application. By just playing their facebook game app you could win these awesome prizes; Iphone5, DSLR Camera, Summer Getaway for 2, Phone Tablet and lots of UNIQLO give aways. Who would not want those? (Hahaha!! Really need to give the prizes a highlight!)
UNIQLO’s “U Shop, U Win” virtual shopping promo is a Facebook-based game application that allows participants to “virtually” purchase items to collect shopping points that they can use to buy items from UNIQLO’s Spring/Summer collection found at the UNIQLO Spring/Summer page within the UNIQLO Web page. Participants can then browse through the application’s links to be able to collect more points or “money” to be used for virtual shopping.
Upon check-out, participants will be asked to “pay” for their purchase via the cashiers with designated prizes. Participants will win the minor prize depending on the cashier he/she chooses.
At the end of the promo period, lucky participants who played the game, logged in and played more will have more chances of winning major prizes.

Stars Behind the Bar
Who’s ready for some bar tending action? T.G.I. Friday’s, the first American casual dining chain in the Philippines introduces it’s new bar menu for this scorching summer.
Making good cocktails is one of T.G.I. Friday’s specialty, and with them partnering with Stolichnaya Vodka makes it even better.
The event was hosted by the lovely Maxene who has been very bubbly all night.
To introduce their new Bar Menu, T.G.I. Friday’s gathered their best bartenders from different branches to show their bartending flair.
The stars of the bar did a lot of bottle flipping action to show guests why T.G.I. Friday’s is worth the visit!
Of course they’re not just known for their amazing drinks, T.G.I. Friday’s is also known for their mouthwatering food. I didn’t get a chance to take photos though since the food is really irresistible. As people always say “Don’t make the food wait”. hahaha!! :))
And by the way, they are also giving away T.G.I. Friday’s Red Card by the first week of April for it’s customers to enjoy buy-one, take-one on cocktails every Thursday. The cards will be distributed free of charge to dining guests.
It was a night full of awesomeness. I really did enjoy the event. So did you feel that you were there as well guys? :D

2013 Spring/Summer Trends
WHAT ARE THE LATEST FASHION TRENDS FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2013? I have been getting this question a lot during the past couple of weeks. Personally speaking I really hate following trends for the sole reason that every one becomes a look-alike of the other. But to answer all of your queries with regards to what’s hot for this season, I made a trend list from different categories that will surely appear this season.
1. Hairstyle- Looking very slick is very “IN” this season. So say goodbye to your very long hair if you want to follow this hairstyle. But if you’re in doubt about the super slick thing, a sort of out of bed messy hair is also very in.
2. Camouflage- for sure this pattern will have a grand entrance in the days to come. So step aside Aztec and Galaxy Prints!
3. Aztec- Ok! Maybe Aztec Prints will not allow Camouflage to walk the red carpet alone. But unlike the past seasons aztec prints’ sparkle is not as glaring as before. But I think it will still be on the grasp for a bit longer.
4. Backpacks- For a bit of time backpacks has been overshadowed by Tote Bags, messenger bags and handbags. But for this season Backpacks will be back in the limelight with a big transformation, using canvas,suede leather and unthinkable prints. These guys are perfect for Summer travels.
5. Pastel Colored Shorts- For a very warm season colored pastel shorts will start appearing like mushrooms.
6. Tank Tops- What’s summer without tank tops? Better work your muscles before wearing one.
7. Trainers- For footwear these babies will really be the big thing this season. You can wear it in a formal attire as well as casual.

Spread the Dunkin’ Love
It has been a while since I talked about food. Glad that I was invited to attend a Dunkin’ Donuts prescon. Well I could not turn down this invitation since Dunkin’ Donuts has been my review buddy during my university days. Oh how I love their Choco Butternut! Mildy sweet, fluffy and yummy. *having flashbacks of the olden days*
For 31 years up until the present dunkin’ donuts has preserved the flavor of their well loved classic donuts and of course they have a new variety of flavors to offer as well. Also introducing the new face of Dunkin’ Donuts, none other than Derek Ramsay (Dunkin’ Derek). Derek also shared to the press on why he loved Dunkin Donuts. “There’s a special place in my heart for Dunkin’ Donuts, and it has been a constant companion through many occasions – as a child, as a student, through heartaches, and yes, even on Valentine’s Day. In fact, whoever is with me has to enjoy a bite too. There is a comforting simplicity to the Dunkin’ Donuts Classics that keeps me coming back for more.”
He even told us what his favorite flavor is. Can you guess his favorite Dunkin’ Donuts flavor? Have a wild guess and I’ll tell you at the end of this blog. :D
